Jen Scott Bio

With over 20 years of experience in leadership, operations, acquisitions, and recruiting within the veterinary field, I’m thrilled to embark on my latest adventure: owning and growing a veterinary recruiting company! My journey began with a summer spent shadowing an equine vet, sparked by my years of training and showing horses. That initial spark ignited a passion for veterinary medicine that has shaped my career.

From the thrilling world of emergency vet work to the challenges of small animal care, I've navigated the complexities of our industry with determination and creativity. At just 21, I seized the opportunity to buy a franchise while completing my Master’s degree, learning the ropes of business during the tumultuous 2007-2008 economic challenges. I successfully maneuvered through those years by exploring diverse revenue streams and honing my operations skills.

In 2012, I took a bold step south, transforming underperforming practices and boosting revenue by an impressive 53% in less than three years spent in that role. My passion for practice management and acquisitions led me to guide new practices into the fold, and my love for teaching has been a constant throughout my career.

Transitioning to larger hospitals reignited my passion for the emergency and specialty fields, where I transitioned back into operations and oversaw a larger hospital group. I was lucky enough then to utilize my hiring skills and develop them into speciality recruiting where I found a whole new zeal. I then took a slight turn towards a unique opportunity where I built hospitals and teams from the ground up. It was a thrilling experience, allowing me to marry my creative edge with my commitment to developing top-tier veterinary talent.

Now, as I focus on this new chapter, I am dedicated to enhancing our recruitment services for veterinarians and supporting the growth of veterinary practices. My deep commitment to the veterinary community, combined with our fresh approach, empowers us to connect you with the exceptional professionals you need to thrive, and veterinarians with their ideal opportunities. Let’s embark on this exciting journey together and make a lasting impact in the veterinary world!

With a foundation as a licensed animal nurse, my passion for animal care has always been at the forefront of my professional journey. I am continually drawn to improving the lives of animals and supporting the humans who care for them.

In my role as a recruiter, I combine my extensive knowledge of the veterinary field with my commitment to connecting talented professionals to fulfilling positions within the industry. Over the years, I have developed a deep understanding of the unique skills and qualities that make someone successful in veterinary roles, whether in clinical settings or corporate environments. I truly believe that the right fit is crucial—not just for the organization, but for the individuals involved as well.

I started my career as a veterinary nurse, where I gained invaluable hands-on experience in animal health and welfare. This role taught me the importance of empathy, communication, and teamwork, all of which are essential when navigating the complexities of animal care. I pride myself on my ability to advocate for both animals and their owners, ensuring that every voice is heard in the pursuit of optimal health and well-being.

After several years in clinical practice, I transitioned into recruitment to leverage my industry expertise in a new way.
