Emergency Veterinarian

Location: Fort Worth, TX, 76701

Time Type: Full-Time

About You

You’ll provide excellent, in-the-moment care when patients need it most. You’ll hone your ability to triage and assess critical needs – with a team to back you with support. The Ideal Candidate would be able to care for sick and injured patients who arrive on an emergency basis, as well as managing hospitalized patients. This role requires the ER DVM to assess patients, diagnose illnesses, develop treatment plans, and oversee technicians who are carrying out these plans. The ER DVM will also perform surgeries, provide critical care, and ensure a high level of service for all patients in our emergency department. We believe in people first, so the ideal candidate will be able to empathize, connect, and partner with pet parents during a crisis.

Experience & Skills Requirements

  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM / VMD) or equivalent degree required.
  • State Veterinary Board License:
  • Active and in good standing for the state of intended employment
  • Obtained before start date
  • Active DEA license or DEA licensure eligible.
  • Experience in emergency medicine, including work experience in small animal rotating internship, is strongly recommended.
